On April 5, 1954, Danette Smith Morrisey was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Lemon Justice Smith.

In the late 70’s, Danette married the late Donald O’Harrell Miller and from this union her only child, Donnetta Shina Miller, was born.

In 2004, she married Charles Leon Morrisey of Turkey, NC. Danette grew up in Pink Hill, NC and received her High School Diploma from East Duplin High School in Beulaville, NC. She went on to further her education at Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, NC and James Sprunt Community College in Kenansville, NC. She was an active member of New Kenansville First Baptist. Her interests included family, traveling, cooking, and shopping. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to her mother and father that preceded her in death.

Danette was a selfless, loving, caring, loyal woman, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She lived for her family. Danette will be greatly missed and forever loved.
