Decator "Buddy" Scarbough was born August, 27, 1951 to the late Alberta Scarbough.  He received his education in the Duplin County Public School System.   Early in life Buddy moved to New York and there he spent his life working and enjoying life.

Decator accepted Jesus Christ early in his life and joined Union Baptist Missionary Baptist Church in Deep Bottom.

He leaves to cherish his memories:  One son,  Decator Scarbough of Wallace, NC, one daughter, Anita Evans of NC. Five grandchildren: Juwan, Kayla, Isiah, Veronica and  Valery.  His ex-wife:  Erma Scarbough Britt of New York. Three sisters:  Ernestine (Melvin) Farland, of Beulaville, NC, Minister Brenda Scarbough of Wallace, NC and Margaret Scarbough of Flushing, New York.  One niece Sabrina Scarbough of Wallace, NC.

Five Aunts: Almae Brice, Magaline Goodman, Irene Scarbough, Fannie Scarbough all of Wallace, NC and Delphine Pickett of Maple Hill, NC.

Two Uncles:  Leroy Brown and Lewis Scarbough of Wallace, NC.

Two Great Aunts:  Floyette Scarbough and Lucille Scarbough of Wallace, NC.
