Estella (Hargrove) Allen

On Wednesday, March 28, 2018 Estella Hargrove Allen traveled to her heavenly home at Vidant Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville, NC. Estella was born on February 2, 1934 to the late John Hargrove and Bessie Carr Hargrove in Duplin County. She was raised in a loving home with nine sibblings, four of which have preceded her in death.

At a young age Estella joined New Christian Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and had been a faithful member all of her life. She attended Sunday School and was once a member of several choirs. Stella as she was called attended and completed school in Duplin County (Charity High School). She also completed a CNA Course at James Sprunt Community College.

Left to cherish her memory, husband, Edward Allen, a son, Jermaine Allen, a precious granddaughter, Autumn Blue Allen, her mother, Bessie Hargrove, one sister Waddie Parks of Stuart, Florida, four brothers: Burnis Hargrove (Dorothy); Alvery Hargrove, Ronnie Hargrove (LaVerne) all of Rose Hill, NC; Elmon G. Hargrove of Charlotte, NC, a sister-in-law Shirley Allen Hornsby of Wilmington, NC; brother-in-law Ralph Allen (Carolyn) of Goldsboro, NC. A social friend Carolyn Murphy of Rose Hill, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
