Pearline McKoy Herring age 77 of Watha, NC entered into eternal rest on March 27, 2018 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC. She was born to the late Ruth Mitchell Shaw and Ed Junior McKoy of Lumberton, NC.
She was also preceded in death by her husband Johnny Herring, a son Frankie Lane and a granddaughter Quandron Lane.
Pearline received her education at South Lumberton elementary and J. H. Haywood High school in Lumberton, NC. She was a hard worker and was employed as a factory, farm and motel worker before moving to Willow Grove where she was employed for ten years with Daval light fixtures. She later returned to Watha NC and was employed at Motel 6 in Wilmington, NC.
She loved fishing playing cards and family gatherings.
Her precious memories will be cherished by her three children; Ruth Mckoy of Lumberton, NC, Willie Lane (Angela) of Durham, NC and Diane Ennis (Lee David) of Atkinson, NC. Two sisters; Debra Holiday of Lumberton, NC and Johnnie McCallum (Thomas) of Concord, NC. One sister-in-law, Pearl Williams of Philadelphia, PA. A devoted special friend Jerry Murphy of Watha, NC. Ten grandchildren twenty-nine great grandchildren, and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
There will be a visitation on Friday, March 30, 2018 from 4 to 6 at Nixon Lewis Funeral Home in Burgaw, NC. The funeral service will be 3 pm on Saturday March 31, 2018 at Lakes Chapel Baptist Church at 9529 Point Caswell rd, in Atkinson, NC. Burial will follow in the Herring Cemetery.
