Wilfred Lee Farrior, Sr., son of the late Gladys Bell Farrior-Bush (Everett) and Freeman Lisane was born on May 25, 1954 in Pender County. He attended Pender County schools and graduated from Burgaw High School. Wilfred joined the United States Army at the age of 18. He was in the Light Weapons Infantry. After leaving the military he worked for the United States Postal Service and industrial jobs.
He will forever be cherished in the lives of his children: Wilfred L.(Tikisha) Farrior, Jr of Maple Hill, NC of mother Gussie Davis. Desmond (Synavia) Grady and Taurean Farrior of Wilmington, NC of mother Glenice McNeil. Brothers: Donald (Kia) Farrior and Jerry Farrior both of Jacksonville, NC. Bradley (Gloria) Farrior of Maysville, NC and Eric Lisane of Maple Hill, NC. Sisters: Luberta (Michael) Akins of Garner, NC, Etta Farrior of Jacksonville, NC, Katherine Lisane and Rachael Lisane of Maple Hill, NC. Jeff and Belinda Lisane of Maple Hill, NC deceased. Aunt: Etta Vermal (Quincy) Dodson of Memphis, TN. Devoted family members: Debra Jean Nelson cousin, brother in law George Grady, sister in law Deborah Grady, and niece Shantel Littlejohn. Special friends: Ezzard Kornegay and Clyde Dixon. A host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Wilfred was the life of the party. Specifically known as Swinging Jim and Wolf Dog to those who knew and loved him. He was always having fun and laughing. His favorite things to do was cooking seafood and eating. You would never go hungry around him. You could see his bowed legs and pigeon toes a mile away and knew exactly who he was. He was loved by many and will be truly missed.
