Willie Lee Brace, age 73 of Lanham, Maryland was born to the late  Mr. Cornell Brace and Mrs. Josie Mae Thompson Brace of Heath Springs, South Carolina. 

Willie leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his loving wife, Vernell Williams-Brace of Lanham, MD and two  daughters:  Caramekia Brown of Rock Hill, SC and Erin Brace of Lanham, MD.  Grandchildren:  Kiaera Johnson, Thaizeah Brown and Ronald L. Franklin III.  One sister:   Birtha Brace of Columbia, SC, four brothers:  Earnest Brace (Bernice) of Adelphi, MD, Clarence and Everett (Gertel) Brace of Washington, DC and Larry Brace of Mt. Rainer, MD.  He was preceded in death by two brothers Cornell Jr. and Robert Lee Brace.

His mother-in-law, Mrs. Eunice P. Williams of Maple Hill, NC, sister-in-laws:  Ms. Maude Lyons of Durham, NC;  Ms. Beatrice Williams-Louis of Fayetteville, NC; and Mrs. Zellene Saunders of Monroe, NC;  Ms. Joann Brace of Washington, DC;  Brothers-in-law, Mr. Orville E. Saunders of Monroe, NC;  Mr. Dorsey Williams of Chicago, IL and Mr. David S. Lyons of Chapel Hill, NC.  Loving nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of special friends:  Ms. Janie Hall, Ms. Eunice Watson, Mr. Sam Mingo, Mr. Fred L. McIlwain Sr., and Mr. Harvey Carey, neighbors, friends and his church family.

Funeral arrangements are as follows: Service at 11 am Monday, November 7, 2016 at Union Wesley AME Zion Church, 1860 Michigan Ave., NE Washington, DC.  A graveside service wil be 2 pm on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Williams Family Cemetery in Maple Hill, NC.
