Mrs. Alice Francis Scarborough was born on November 15, 1924 to the late Ashley and Martha Scarborough in Duplin County. She departed this life on Monday, August 21, 2017. She was educated in her early years in the Duplin County Public Schools Systems. At an early age, Alice joined Union Missionary Baptist Church and was a faithful member until her health declined. She was joined in holy matrimony to the late William Henry Boney who preceded her in death. Alice loved to grow things.

She loved working in her yard and with flowers, quilting and playing the tambourine. She had a very kind and humble spirit and will be greatly missed by all.

Survivors “Alice” leaves to cherish her precious memories: One Daughter Mary Whitlock and husband Lee Ernest of Tampa, Florida One Son Charles Scarborough and wife Nellie of Wallace, North Carolina Grandchildren: 6 Great-Grandchildren: 11 Three Sisters Almae Brice and Magelene Goodman both of Wallace, North Carolina Delphine Pickett of Maple Hill, North Carolina Two Brothers Lois Scarborough of Jamaica, New York, Leroy Brown of Wallace, North Carolina, Two Sisters-in-Law Fannie Scarborough of Wallace, NC and Irene Scarborough of Wallace, NC.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends who loved her dearly.
