Mr. Benjamin C. Leavens quietly departed this life on Monday, April 3, 2017 at his home in Beulaville, North Carolina. 

Mr. Benjamin C. Leavens affectionately known as "Ben" was married to Pastor Vessie Leavens. He was the son of Joel E. Williams and the late Catherine L. Williams. He was born March 5, 1950 in Onslow County, North Carolina. After Graduating from the Duplin County Schools system, he joined the United States Air Force. Ben took pride in serving his Country, after serving for years in the Air Force he later joined the United States Navy. 

Ben was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints. He loved his church and was very proud to be a part of it. 

Ben is preceded in death by his mother Catherine L. Williams. 

Ben was united in holy matrimony to Pastor Bessie Leavens for over 39 years and to this union they share nine children. 

He leaves to cherish fond memories his wife Pastor Bessie Leavens of the home. Eight children, Reverend Angelic White (Pastor Jeffery White), Johnny Munn (Shirlene), Ray Jones (Ursula), Joel Leavens (Vivian), Mark Parker (Sonia), Catherine Parker, Bradley Parker(Pamela), Crystal Parker, and Kim Barrett. His father Joel Williams. He also leaves to cherish memories twenty-four grandchildren, two brothers Jessie Leavens(Velma) and Tony Williams(Veronica); two aunts;seven sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; a special friend Raul Reyes; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
