Cleopatra Pickett James, age 87, affectionately known as "Cle" of Maple Hill peacefully surrendered to the will of God on Tuesday, February 14, at Carolina River Nursing Home in Jacksonville. Cleopatra was born to the late Alonza Pickett and Nancy Pickett. 

Survivors: One son, William P. James, Maple Hill, NC, eleven grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. One sister, Elder Nicy Holmes of Maple Hill, three brothers, Bishop Lacy Pickett wife Annetta, of Maple Hill, NC, Bishop Alonza Pickett, Jr., Maple Hill, NC and Minister Royce Brown, wife Mamie of Leland, NC. Three sisters in law, Sally Graham, India Early and Katie James all of Jacksonville, NC.
