Essie Everett Smith

Essie E. Smith was born on October 16, 1937, to the late Richard and Victoria Everett, in Burgaw, North Carolina. Essie went to meet our Lord and Savior on Friday, March 22, 2019, at her residence in Burgaw, North Carolina. Essie received her education in the Rocky Point Schools System. At an early age she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior. Essie was married to the late John Smith and to this union three sons were born: Lee, Johnny and Jerry. Essie loved gardening, fishing and cooking. To know her was to love her. To her family, she was dependable, strong-willed, loving and caring. She will truly be missed by all who loved her. In addition to her parents and husband, Essie was also preceded in death by One Son: James Willis; Three Brothers: Richard Henry Everett, Arthur Lee Everett, Sr., Royal Everett; Four Sisters: Marie Fraizer, Mae London, Bertha McCormick, and Vera Adams.
