James W. Murphy 53 affectionately known as "Lotto" lived in the West Pender Community in Burgaw. He was a well-known, funloving, outgoing, handyman.  He loved making money and shooting pool.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother: Pastor Corine Carr, two daughters:  Valery Brown Holmes and Demetus Brown Lewis of Burgaw, four grandchildren, one sister, Alisa Copeland, two brothers, Maurice Murphy and Keith Murphy of the home.

James will be missed by all that knew and loved him and as James would say " hey, hey, hey, it will be alright."
