Lossie Ray Lamb was born September 19, 1952, in Maple Hill, North Carolina to the late Vistula Lansing Lamb and Clifton Lamb. She was peacefully called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 6, 2018. Lossie received her formal education in the Pender County School System. She graduated from C.F. Pope High School. After graduation she worked at Pender Memorial Hospital Custodial Care, Camp LeJeune Food Services, and Child Care Services. She lived in Jacksonville, New Jersey, and back to Jacksonville again. Lossie had three children, Vincent Lamb, Ebony Lamb, and Vino Lamb. She was a devoted mother. Lossie loved children but she did not “hold back” when it was time to discipline her children. Her nieces and nephews all loved her because she was the “cool aunt”.
Lossie leaves to cherish her memory: Three wonderful children Vincent (Juanita) of Lithonia, Georgia; Ebony Felix (Evrard Felix II/deceased) of Somerset, New Jersey; and Vino of Jacksonville. Eight awesome grandchildren Keviana Lamb, Keanna Turnbull, Drayquan Felix, Ebonique Felix, Evrard Felix III, Mel’quan Smith, Se’Quinta Lamb, and Takari Highsmith. Siblings Roseanna Pickett (Maple Hill), Vistula Hyman (Fayetteville), Minnie Long (Houston, TX), Gardenia McClain (Smith, AL), Annie Hawkins (Bunn Level) Mary Chapman/Timothy (Jacksonville), James Oliver Pickett/Abigail (Maple Hill), Elaine Lamb (Jacksonville) and Shirley Kenan, Beulaville, NC.
