Samuel Lee Keith, Jr. was born September 20, 1951 to the late Samuel Keith, Sr. and the late Gladys K. Mitchell in Pender County. He departed this earthly life on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at UNC Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC. Samuel or “Lee” as he was affectionately called received his education in the Duplin County Public Schools. At an early age, he was united in holy matrimony to Delphine Boykin and to this union two children were born. Samuel was a professional truck driver for 35 plus years and he loved his profession dearly. He could recount many, many stories of his long distance driving adventures. Lee was known to be a very strong-willed man who would go the “extra mile” for anything he was passionate about. One of those many passions was his family. He loved his family dearly and loved nothing more than to spend time with those he loved most. He leaves behind a legacy of loved ones who will miss him dearly.
