Theaugres James Obituary

Mr. Theaugres Antwan James (Petey) was born on February 28, 1976 to Lillie Sharpless James and the late Andrew Jackson James Jr. He departed this life on Monday August 13, 2018 at the Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune , NC. Theaugres known to all that loved and knew him as “Petey” received his education in the Pender County School system starting at Maple Hill Elementary School and he graduated from Pender High School class of 1995. Petey worked all of his life it seems; he began working at the age of 13 at Pender Memorial Hospital and at Pender High School cafeteria while getting his education. He worked at Rayson in Burgaw and upon graduation Petey moved to Durham, NC. He started his adult working career with Budd’s Janitorial Service from 1996 until relocating back to Pender County in 2005. He then found employment with Jack Talbort working beside his dad learning and enjoying life. When they sold out to Lanier Farms he then continued to work there until his death. Petey was a very crafty young man always working with his hands. He liked to crochet but he especially loved fishing. You could catch Petey at any creek, pond or even a bridge fishing.

He was preceded in death by his father Andrew Jackson James Jr. and his brother Luther Lee.
