Our Journey with Baby Alondra

Parents: Marenza Armstrong and William Johnson of Willard, NC

At about 3 months pregnant we found out that Baby Alondra was diagnosed with a rare disease called Trisomy-18. The Doctors wanted us to abort but our faith in God wanted to give our baby girl a fighting chance, so we declined even with a 10% chance of making it to birth. At 37 weeks Baby Girl Alondra Renee Johnson was born Saturday, Nov. 6th, 2021, at 3.74 lbs. breathing & fighting to be here. Even though she had several complications that required 2 major surgeries she had them and endured both in order to show us how strong of a Warrior Princess she truly was! In her last minutes of being here, her mother held her closely on Her Chest as baby Alondra made her Transition to the Heavens. She gave us 25 days of Love and Happiness which was the best 3 weeks we have ever known! Babygirl is at peace and went to be with the Good Lord on Wednesday Dec.1st..No no More Pain for Her as she watches over us!
