Beatrice Williams Louis

Beatrice Williams-Louis, affectionately called Bea, relinquished life Monday, July 27th, 2020. She was born August 5, 1954, in Maple Hill, North Carolina. She is the daughter of the late Leslie Allen Williams and Eunice Pickett Williams. Bea graduated from Burgaw High School located in Burgaw, North Carolina; class of 1972. Later that Fall, she moved to Fayetteville North Carolina to attend Fayetteville State University. On May 6th, 1978, she was united in marriage to Serge Louis in Dillon, South Carolina. Bea began her career in retail and later transitioned to banking. On November 30th, 1988, she started working at Fort Bragg Federal Credit union and because of her compassion for helping others she was later promoted to a loan supervisor. Bea retired from Fort Bragg FCU on June 30, 2017, after 29 years of service. In her spare time, Bea enjoyed traveling, watching her favorite TV shows, law and order, criminal intent, CSI, and the Golden Girls, staying at the beach, shopping at Ross, and spending time with friends and family. Bea loved her girls Lesley and Monique and thought of her sons-in-law, Rodney and Quinton (Q), as the sons she never had.

Bea is survived by her daughters Lesley Louis (Quinton) Barnes of Bunnlevel, NC. Monique Louis (Rodney) Smith of Fuquay-Varina, NC. Six granddaughters, Jordan Louis, Victoria (Vicky) Peterkin, Addison (Addy) Smith, Chelsea Barnes, Angela Barnes, and Shenai Johnson- Barnes, her mother Eunice Pickett Williams of Maple Hill, NC, three sisters, Zellene Williams (Eugene) Saunders of Monroe, NC, Vernell Williams-Brace of Lanham, MD and Col. Maude Williams Lyons (Stan) of Durham, NC and one brother Dorsey (Sharron) Williams of Chicago, IL.

Nieces and Nephews: Orville E. (Angie) Saunders of Acworth, GA, Jonathan D. (Shonta) Lyons of Powder Springs, GA, Erica S. (Corey) of Durham, NC, Erin Noel Brace of Lanham, MD, TaNika Wright of Gurnee, IL and a host of great-nieces and nephews. Aunt: Mrs. Bert Mae Pinkney of Washington, DC Uncles: Mr. Huley (Josephine) Pickett of Maple Hill, North Carolina & Bishop Bert (Altermece) Pickett of Burgaw, NC.
