Charlie Clifton Murray

The earthy home of our beloved Charlie (Buddy) Murray, ended on May 16, 2018 at Vidant Duplin Hospital in Kenansville, North Carolina.

Charlie was born to the late John L. and Clara Mae Murray on August 19, 1942 in Pender County.  He was raised in a loving home with seven other siblings:  Four sisters, Dorothy Lawson, Helen Murray, Lillie Bell Thomas and Virginia Middleton.  Two Brothers:  Joe Dixon and  John Murray. He was preceded in death by his son Charlie Murray Jr., a daughter, Jane Goodwin (Garlene) and his brother, Tommy Murray.

He leaves to cherish his memory four daughters, Ester James (Mervin), Lisa McCallop, Carolyn Collins and Mary Hunter.  Six Sons:  Gary Murray (Sharon), Jaquet Herndon (Anita), James Herndon (Louise), Raymond Hall (Anne) Theodore Mints, Garfield Mints (Angela), fourty-four grandchildred, a host of great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
