David "Chucky" Britt

David Jamal Britt was born to David and Barbara Bland on December 16, 1981. On Friday March 20, 2020 he was called home to be with his heavenly father. David Britt gave his life to Christ at an early age. He attended many churches in the Pender County area, but mostly attended St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church in Rocky Point, NC. He was raised in New York most of his younger years. He then later transferred to Pender County where he attended Pender County public schools. In 2000, he graduated from Pender High school where he was cherished by his peers. Well liked among many, he was given the nickname “Chucky”. No matter where you saw David, he always had a big smile on his face hints the nickname Chucky. Shortly after graduation David enter the workforce. He was a hard worker, working for many companies from Dell Lab, to House of Raeford, to his current job before departure, PSG. As an athlete he spent his school years playing sports. His love for sports lead him to Co-Coach his youngest son in Pop Warner football. He also played semi-pro football where he was able to show off his linebacker skills. He also had a love for cooking. Always willing to jump in and help out at family events or social gatherings never to disappoint. He was a family man who always spent time with his siblings and kids. He was there for every birthday, holiday, and accomplishment. The number of lives impacted by David Britt are too numerous to mention, but he has left us all with countless memories to cherish for years to come.

Brothers: Robert Britt (Currie, NC), Emal Britt (San Diego, CA.). Brother in Law Cleavon Walker (Greensboro, NC.). Sister in Law Valencia Britt (San Diego, CA.). A very special friend Junee Cason (Rocky Point, NC.). A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
