David Earl Murray departed this walk of life on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC.
David was born on November 22, 1950 to the late James V. Murray and Aronia Dixon Murray. He was educated in the Duplin County Public School System. David was preceded in death by his brothers Robert and Jarvis Murray.
He was married to Audrey Allen Murray and to this union two daughters were born, April Santrice Murray and Andrea Nicol Murray.
David joined First Baptist Charity in Rose Hill N.C. at an early age. He served as trustee, sang on the choir and was president of the senior usher board.
He was employed with Brown and Root in Southport, N. C., Daniel Construction of New Hill in Durham, N.C. and Bonitz in Raleigh, N.C. as a construction supervisor for thirty years.
Those left to cherish his memory are: Two daughters, April Murray of Rose Hill, N.C. and Andrea Murray of Dudley, N. C., his forever love, Audrey Allen of Beulaville. N.C., five grandchildren; Aniya, Dalen, Nigel, Amir Murray and Zaire Robbins. Four sisters; Thelma Wycoff (Bobby), Delphine Williams, Frances Williams all of Rose Hill, N.C. and Tony Brown (Barry) of High Point, N.C. Four brothers; Ervin (Mitch) Murray (Brenda) Rose Hill, N.C. Gary Murray (Sharon), Rose Hill,, N.C. Marvin Murray (Sharon)of Warsaw, N.C. James Murray (Darice), St. Louis, Missouri, a special nephew, Ivan Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
