David Williams

David Williams, 61, was born on May 4, 1963, in Philadelphia, PA, and raised in Washington, DC. He passed away peacefully at home in Rocky Point, NC, on November 3, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. He was the cherished son of the late Shelby Gene and James Williams.

Known affectionately as "Dave" or "Blade Brown," he was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, cousin, and friend. Dave had a rare gift for connecting with people, making everyone he met feel seen and valued. He never encountered a stranger, always offering his time, warmth, and genuine compassion to anyone in need. He was deeply devoted to his family, friends, and his work with Rain Storm Solutions. Dave’s loyalty and love for his people were unwavering, and he touched countless lives with his kindness and presence.

Dave is survived by his daughter, Diamond Williams, and grandson, Major Kornegay. He also leaves behind five brothers: James Williams, Richard Williams, John Williams, Timothy (Portia) Williams, and Christopher (Shawn) Williams, as well as three sisters: Betty Williams, Yvette Williams, and Nicole Williams, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, David Allander Williams.

A service to honor and celebrate Dave’s life will be held on November 16, 2024, at Nixon Family Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Williams Family at 283 Broken Spur Court, Rocky Point, NC. Dave's memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
