Donna Sandra Boyd

Donna Sandra Boyd, age 71, of Castle Hayne, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Novant New Hanover Hospital in Wilmington, NC.  She was the daughter of the late Charlie Hughes and Bessie Duncan.

Donna was employed for many years with the Department of Transportation in New Hanover County. She was a kindhearted, loving person.  

She leaves to cherish many precious memories to her loving husband, Herschel Leon Boyd of Castle Hayne, NC; one son, Jackson Boyd of Topsail, NC;  one daughter, Janie Boyd; and a special grandson, Harley Boyd, whom she raised like a son, both of Castle Hayne. She was also preceded in death by her son, Herschel Boyd.

She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
