Donnie McGee

Donnie G. McGee, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2023, in Kensington, MD. Donnie was born on June 19, 1951, in Duplin County, North Carolina, He was the son of the late Thomas H. McGee and Louise Boney McGee.

Donnie received his education in the Duplin County School System.  At an early age Donnie moved to the Maryland, DC area.  Donnie loved the city life. He went on to pursue a career in construction, which he thoroughly enjoyed.

Throughout his life, Donnie was known for his gentle and kind nature. His friendly demeanor and warm smile were a beacon of light to those around him.

Donnie also had a great love for traveling. He took great pleasure in exploring new places and experiencing different cultures.

In addition to his work and personal interests, Donnie was devoted to his family.  He cherished the time spent with his loved ones and was always there to support them in any way he could. His unwavering love for his family will be remembered and celebrated by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
 
Donnie was preceded in death by his son, Sydney Thomas McGee, Two brothers, James Thomas Boney and Willie Edward McGee "Bill," and his sister, Doris A. Turner. He is survived by his son, Marlon McGee of Wallace, NC, sister, Ida Johnson of Wallace, and brother Douglas McGee of Phila. Pa. and a very special nephew Michael McGee of Landover, Maryland, as well as a host of other nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
