Earnestine Scarborough Farland

Earnestine Scarborough Farland was born on March 19, 1947 in Wallace, NC to the late Alberta Scarborough. “Tina” as she was affectionately known, was married to the late Melvin Farland. On Tuesday morning, May 19, 2020, Tina decided to spread her wings and departed to be with the Lord. Tina attended Charity High School in Rose Hill, NC and completed her education at GWEN College, Jamaica, NY. Tina was employed with Verizon Telephone company for 37 years from where she retired. She also worked several other jobs to help support her mother and siblings. Tina did not have any children of her own but was a mother to many. She loved helping people.

Tina was a member of Union Baptist Church and she loved to work in the house of the Lord.  Tina lived a beautiful Christian life.

 She leaves to cherish her precious memories: Two Sisters:  Rev. Brenda Scarbough and Margaret Scarborough. One Sister-In-law  Emma Scarborough Britt.  Five Aunts: Magalene Goodman, Fannie Scober, Delphine Pickett, Irene Scarborough and Virginia Williams. Two Uncles:  Lewis Scarborough and Ed Williams.   Three Nephews:  Decator Scarborough, Juwan Scarborough and Isaiah Scarborough. Two Nieces:  Sabrina “Tracy” Scarborough and Anita.   Three Great-Nieces:  Kayla Scarborough, Veronica and Valarie One Great-Great-Niece: Heaven Scarborough.  One Special Friend:  Evangeline Matthews and a host of: uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
