Mrs. Fannie Lee Scober was born on June 30, 1933 to the late William Hayes Burton and the late Hattie Jane Farrior Burton in Duplin County, North Carolina. She peacefully answered the Master’s call on Saturday, October 29, 2022.
She was educated in the Duplin County Public Schools System.
Fannie was married to the late James Lee Scober and this union was blessed for many years.
Fannie was a faithful, dedicated member of Union Baptist Church located in the Deep Bottom Community. She attended regularly until her health begin to decline. She was a choir member, served on the usher board and “Mother” of the church. She loved feeding the Pastor’s after church.
Fannie was loving, kindhearted and caring. She would do whatever she could do to help anybody. She loved cooking, especially baking delicious cakes and pies. She also enjoyed gardening. In addition to her parents and husband, Fannie is also preceded in death by her son, James Carnell Scober.
