Freddie James Lewis passed on March 15, 2021, at North Chase Health and Rehabilitation Center in Wilmington, NC.
Freddie was born in Burgaw NC on March 2, 1962, to the late Freddie Eugene and Joy Jane Lewis.
In his earlier years, he grew up and attended school in Pender County. In 1982 he received his GED and began working with the state in the construction of I-40. Freddie later began to work in the field of automotive body repair which he learned from his father. For years he worked at Mack James Body Shop in Burgaw.
Freddie also had a passion for the great outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, and especially dogs. He spent a lot of time studying nature and wildlife. Freddie was an adventurous person who loved family, friends, and nature.
After his health declined he resided at North Chase Health and Rehabilitation Center in Wilmington. While he was there he would attend Bible study and there he surrendered his life unto the Lord. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Freddie leaves to cherish his memories, Three Brothers; Terry (Wanda) Lewis of Rocky Point, NC, Frankie (Shamell) Lewis of Wilmington, NC, and Dale (Jessica) Lewis of Burgaw, NC.
Three sisters, Becky Beatty, Stephanie Lewis, and Ramona (Jamie) Wooten all of Wallace, NC.
A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
