On Monday, June 27, General Lee James, age 94 surrounded by his loved ones, peacefully submitted to the will of God.  He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Mary Johnson James, his daughter, Kitinia James Harmon, two sons, General Lee James II (Sandy) and Johnny McDonald James (Mack), stepson, Charles Johnson Jr. one sister Elma James Williams, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Wilma Gray James, his son William Dewey James, his sister Valdosia Williams and his brother Jessie James.
