General Lee James Jr. affectionally known as ‘Sandy’’ of Warsaw, NC, formerly of Burgaw, peacefully submitted to the will of God on Wednesday, September 2, 2020. He was the son of the late General Lee James Sr. and Wilma Carr James of Burgaw NC. Sandy was educated in the Pender County School System. Upon completing his education, he was united in holy matrimony to Dorothy Gray and to this union one son was born. Sandy and Dorothy spent 8 wonderful years together and then their lives took different paths for many years. In 2017 they were reunited in holy matrimony and God blessed Sandy and Dorothy with three more wonderful years of marital bliss. Sandy was a cheerful, fun loving, kindhearted person who loved fishing, music and could be very easily bribed with something sweet.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories: His wife, Dorothy James, one son, General Lee James III (Sandra) of Rose Hill, NC, Two grand daughters, Charecia Harris of Virginia, and Maliah James of Rose Hill, one great-granddaughter, Jordyn Harris of Virginia, One step-daughter, Minnie Gray of Raleigh, NC, two step-grand daughters, Tanisha Gray-Smith (Alex) and Minisha Gray, Two Step great grandsons, Alex Smith Jr. and Curtis Sidberry Jr, all of Raleigh, NC. One sister, Kitinia Harmon of Burgaw, NC, One brother, Johnny Mac James (Cathy) of Burgaw, NC. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
