George Thomas (Tim) Chambers

George Thomas (Tim) Chambers was born on February 22, 1956, to George W. Chambers, and Alice Brailey Chambers.  He departed this earthly life on Thursday, November 30th, 2021 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his father, George Wilson Chambers. 

George served in the USA Marine Corp during his early years. He also served as a Fireman for the City of Wilmington, NC. He was a very faithful member of The Prayer Warriors Corner Fellowship, Fayetteville, NC, and often encouraged his family and friends to view the online services. George was known for laughter and his charming personality.

For all his many professional accomplishments, George was an even better father, son, brother, and friend. He was a loving and generous person that enjoyed helping others, cooking, and fishing. His heart’s delight, however, was his family. He was married to Janice McDuffie-Chambers for twenty-five years. Together they raised five children and remained extremely close after their divorce.
