George Howard Jr.

George Howard Jr., age 62 of 2312 Indian Dr., Jacksonville died June 26, 2019. Big George as he was affectionately known in his neighborhood was fondly thought of by everyone that knew him.  Mamie Pridgen his loving spouse of 25 years preceded him in death in 2016.  

George leaves to cherish his memories  a special daughter Tamara Johnson (Carl) of Houston, Texas.  Grandchildren: Milena, Samaya, Jacob, Amir, Jamire, Jalisa, Jyasia and Samaya. Two sisters-in-law:  Silva (Gerald) of Jacksonville, NC, and Carolyn Whitney of Valley Stream, NY.  Two Brothers-in-law:  Rev. Ernest Mattocks (Jessie Mae) of Long Island, NY and Ricky (Caroline) Mattocks of Long Island, NY and a host of other friends as well as his church family at New Beginnings Christian Center in Jacksonville, Bishop Willie Smith Jr., Pastor.
