Geraldine "Gerry" Stringfield

A loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend Geraldine aka “Gerry” Stringfield was born July 22, 1951, in Brooklyn New York to Vernell Stringfield Sr. and Sandra Stringfield. She was the eldest of four children: one sister the late Carmen Vanessa Stringfield and two brothers the late Vernell Lloyd Stringfield Jr. aka “Buster” and Robert A. Stringfield.

Geraldine started her journey of life in Rocky Point, North Carolina and then came back to New York living with her grandmother in Saint Albans Queens. In 1963 she moved with her mother to Franklin Plaza.

Geraldine was an educated and resourceful person that always pursued to be the best. She attended several colleges, universities and institutes obtaining her associates, bachelor's, and master’s degree as well as several certifications.

Geraldine started working as a teenager and kept a job up until 2015. The main two jobs she put a lot of time in was at Standard & Poor’s which is now known as S&P Global Ratings and the New York-Presbyterian Hospital in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit where she retired.

Geraldine loved her family, community as well as her church family. They were all instrumental in her growth and development. She also loved to travel the world as she would go on vacations locally in the United States as well as abroad internationally.

Geraldine is survived by her brother Robert A. Stringfield, Her nieces and nephew: Cecilia Olutola, Diane Durham, Tara Crichlow, Tora Stringfield, Robert A Stringfield Jr., Geraldine Stringfield aka “Little Gerry”, Asha Stringfield, great-nieces, great-nephews and a host of other relatives, friends and neighbors.
