Inez Crews Harrison

​Inez Crews Harrison, 98, of Rocky Point, North Carolina, passed away on March 24, 2026. Born on May 10, 1927, to Alberta Crews and Joseph Shiver, Jr., she was a devoted member of Hill's Chapel Church in the Little Kelly Community of Rocky Point, North Carolina. ​After moving to New York at age 21, she married the late Eddie Harrison and worked for the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union until her retirement. She returned home to North Carolina in 1989 and dedicated her time to her family, the NAACP, and her community. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved daughter, Belinda Harrison-Newton, her son-in-law,, Stafford Newton, and a host of cousins and friends.
