Jimmie Lee Gray Jr. was born December 12, 1962 to the late Jimmy Lee Williams and Elnora Gray of Wilson, NC. He peacefully submitted to the will of God on Wednesday, September 23, 2020.
Jimmie was educated in the Wilson County public school system. Upon completing his education, Jimmie entered the military where he served a short while before meeting his lifelong partner Melinda Baysden. Though never married, the two spent 37 years together, and to this union was born their daughter Jasha.
Jimmy was an all-around kind of guy who never met a stranger. He had a genuine heart and was always ready and willing to help anyone. He liked working with his hands, building things and fixing things and was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed hanging over a grill, cooking, making people laugh, and was a true jokester and comedian!
Jimmie truly loved his grandchildren and didn’t mind babysitting any weekend he wasn’t working! Jimmie was a very hardworking man, a strong lead in his family, and the true definition of an all-around good man and will be truly missed by everyone.
