John "John John" Bethea

John Garfield Bethea Jr., of Kinston, formerly of Kenansville, affectionately known as "John John," passed away suddenly on June 29, 2025, at the age of 40, in Duplin County. John was born on January 16, 1985, in Bridgeton, New Jersey.  His life was a testament to the joy and laughter he brought to those around him.

John's memory will be forever cherished by his loving mother, Ethel Carol Williams, Stepfather, Jimmy R. Williams of Rose Hill, his two sisters, Tameka Houston and Nakia Houston,  his brother, Brandon Houston, his fiancée, April Marie Gluhm, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly. They will continue to honor his legacy by living life with the same zest and love that John embodied.
