John Clarence McDuffie, age 94, affectionately known as "JC" left his earthly home, peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, May 30, 2016 at Britthaven of North Chase in Wilmington, NC.

He was born to the late Addie Simpson-Walker and Willie McDuffie of Currie NC. He was married to the late Pearl Lewis and to this union was born thirteen children.  Nine boys and four girls. One son preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his most precious memories:  Bessie (Eddie) Johnson of Baltimore, MD. Jannie Polk of Wilmington, NC, Alice Devone of Currie, NC, Lillie McDuffie of Currie, NC, Clarence (Henrietta) McDuffie of Baltimore, MD, James (Mary) McDuffie, Burgaw, NC, Edward (Pearl) McDuffie, Currie NC, Willis (Dorothy) McDuffie of Currie, NC, Jimmie (Ida) McDuffie of Currie, NC, John Earl (Cynthia) McDuffie of Currie, NC, Aaron (Virginia) McDuffie of Wallace, NC, Arthur (Catherine) McDuffie of Wallace, NC. One brother, Robert McDuffie of Wilmington, NC. Thirty five grandchildren, three preceded him in death, numerous great-grandchildren, one preceded him in death, a host of neices , nephews, cousins and friends. His very special friends are Inez and Charles Parker and Herman Lewis.
