Julia Mae (Newkirk) Lett

Mrs. Julia Mae Newkirk Lett was called to rest August 10, 2022, at Presbyterian Hospital, Queens, New York.

Julia Mae was the 4th child born to the late William Newkirk and the late Julia Murray Newkirk on May 12, 1946.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Leveria Davis, William Newkirk and Henry Mack Newkirk.

Julia Mae grew up in Burgaw, NC and attended C.F. Pope School. After graduating, her life took her to New York where she met and married David Lett Sr. and from this union five children were born.

Julia Mae leaves to cherish her precious memories: Five Children: David Lett Kathy of Raleigh, NC, Darren Lett of Brooklyn, NY, Darrel Lett of Washington, DC, Andre Lett of Queens, NY, Kim Lett of Fuquay Varina, NC. Twelve Grandchildren, Four Great-Grandchildren, Three Sisters: Lillie Lynch (Chesterfield) of Burgaw, NC, Deborah Dandridge (Herman) of Burgaw, NC, Joyce Campbell of Burgaw, NC. One Brother: Samuel Newkirk of Wilmington, NC. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends that loved and will miss her dearly.
