Kenneth Earl Washington was born to Mrs. Janie Bell McKoy
Washington and the late James Earl Washington on November 2, 1966
in Duplin County, North Carolina.
He was called home to rest on Monday, February 3, 2025, in addition to
his father, Kenneth was also preceded in death by two brothers: Russell
Washington and John Lewis McKoy.
Kenneth was a graduate of Pender High school. Upon graduating high
school, he was employed as a truck driver for many years for Southern
States, Magnolia Trucking Company, Uncle Sam Military Company and
Logging Company.
Kenneth did farm work all over Pender County. His hobbies included
hunting and fishing. Kenneth never met a stranger. He loved to laugh
and joke with everyone he met.
Kenneth joined Newkirk Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at an early
age. Ken will be missed dearly and leaves a void that can never be filled.
He leaves to cherish his memories: mother, Janie Bell Washington,
brother, Jimmy Lee Washington; special friend, Clara Mae Williams;
stepson, Gary Williams; grandson, Travade Williams; a host of uncles,
aunts, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who loved and
