Mr. Lewis Thomas Gurganious was born May 27, 1947, to the late Tommy Gurganious and Georgia Mae Gurganious in Pender County. He was raised in a loving Christian home along with nine other siblings. He peacefully answered the Master’s call on Sunday, May 15, 2022.
“Juicy” as he was affectionately known to family and friends, was educated in the Pender County Public Schools System. He moved to New Jersey at an early age and made it his home, thus living there for over sixty years. He worked at Remco Toy Factory, then later as a construction worker until his health declined.
Juicy loved to dance like James Brown, had a smile on his face every time you saw him and had an answer for everything.
In addition to his parents, Juicy was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Juicy leaves to cherish his precious memories: Six Siblings: Prophetess Pearlie Graham of East Arcadia, Wilbert Gurganious (Rose) of Irvington, NJ, Peggy Lundy (Clarence) of Coolidge, Georgia, Brenda Sajouste of Atkinson, NC, Michael Gurganious (Brenda) of Atkinson, NC, Timothy Gurganious (Lottie) of Atkinson, NC. Three Aunts: Debra Anderson of Wilmington, NC, Hattie Ruth Blackwell of Alexandria, VA, Barbara Harris of Philadelphia, PA. One Uncle: Melvin Hayes (Magnolia) of Eudora, AR. Two Godsisters: Vernice Turner and Elder Batts. One Special Friend: Leroy King. Two Special Caretakers: Wilbert Gurganious (his brother) and Demetrica Graham. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
