Lloyd George Barton, 83 of Wallace, NC, was born on January 6, 1942, in Jamaica, in the parish of St. Mary, Annotto Bay, to his parents, the late Amos Barton and the late Wilona Wilson.
He departed this earthly life on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
He was married to Glenda McMillian Barton, and from this union, one child was born, Vanessa Barton. George was employed as a butcher at Lundy’s in Clinton for many years before retiring. He was a member of Byrd's Chapel Church in Rose Hill, NC.
George's legacy will continue through his wife, Glenda Barton of the home, his five children: Patricia Birch, Claudette Henry and husband Rupert of England, Michael Barton and wife Melissa of Columbia, SC, Kelvin Barton of Maryland, and Vanessa Barton of Atlanta, Georgia, eight grandchildren, and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
