Mamie Pridgen was born April 23, 1955 to the late Arthenia Beatrice Bradley and Eddie Park Jeffers in Onslow County, North Carolina.

Mamie was a funloving and outgoing woman, who knew no stranger.  She enjoyed cooking and sewing for others and she was great at both.  She was loved by all who came in contact with her.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving spouse of twenty-five years George Howard of the home.  Two sisters, Lee E. Silva (Gerald) of Jacksonville, NC and Carolyn Whitney of Valley Stream, NY.

Two Brothers, Rev. Ernest Mattocks (Jessie) of Long Island, NY and Ricky Mattocks (Caroline) of Long Island, NY.

Her special daughter, Tamara Johnson (Carl) of Houston, Texas. Eight grandchildren;  Milena, Samaya #1, Jacob, Amir, Jamire, Jalisa, Jyasia and Samaya #2.  Fourteen neices, nineteen nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brothers; George, The Rev. Harrison Allen, William Lomax and Edward Mattocks.
