Mary Glasper Hill, 89, peacefully transitioned at her daughter’s residence in Clinton, North Carolina, following a long and courageous journey. Born to her parents the late Mamie Ruth Dixon and Walter James Glasper in Duplin County.
She attended New York City Technical College, where she studied psychology, and dedicated much of her life as a loving homemaker. She was a loving mother of six, David Allen, Wanda Gale, Garry, Michael Anthony, Jacqueline and Tamisha.
In her later years, she continued her care for others through her work as a nursing assistant, where she compassionately served the elderly. A woman of strong faith, resilience, and a free spirit, Mary was known for her ability to make others feel seen and valued. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and matriarch, blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren whose lives she deeply touched. Mary Glasper Hill leaves behind a legacy of strength, compassion, and enduring faith, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
