McKinley Lloyd Scarborough was born October 21, 1944, in Duplin County, North Carolina to the late Floyetta Brown Scarbrough and Willie Lloyd Scarbrough. He passed on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at the Laurels of Pender in Burgaw, North Carolina. He was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church in Deep Bottom, North Carolina. He attended Duplin County Public Schools. He spent most of his work life logging. He enjoyed dancing, talking and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors Left to cherish his precious memories: Four Children: Kenneth Lee Scarbrough (Jeanette) of Teachey, NC, Claudia Scarbrough (Elroy) of Chinquapin, NC, Ricky Scarbrough (Keisha) of Rose Hill, NC, Clarence M. Thomas of Wilmington, NC. Four Sisters: Earlene Pearsall, Annie Thomas, Joyce A. Glaspie (Ben) and Beatrice Brown (Bro) all of Wallace, NC. Two Brothers: Willis Scarbrough (Pearline) of Teachey, NC, Lorenzo Scarbrough of Wallace, NC. Six Grandchildren; One Special Grandchild: Taquala Farrior; Five Great-Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
