Michelle Herring, age 46, of Willard entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center in Wilmington NC.
Michelle was the daughter of Martha Janet Herring and the late Larry Lee Herring.
Michelle joined Willard Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and she enjoyed a close personal relationship with the Lord even unto death.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory, her loving daughter, Keshia Lachelle Herring of the home, two adorable grandsons, Tyshawn and Tavon Herring; her mother Martha J. Herring of Willard, NC, three sisters, Sharon Williams (Ivan) of Beulaville, NC, Karen Marshburn of Willard, NC, Jacqueline Herring of Willard, NC, three brothers, Richard (Rick) Johnson(Jacqueline) of Belton, Texas, Terry Herring (Amy) of Beulaville, NC and Larry Herring of Willard; one half-brother Renaldo Bryant of Wallace, NC; maternal grandmother, Sara L. Johnson of Willard, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Further cherishing Michelle's memory is her favorite , faithful, dependable, everyday cousin, Zandra Hand of Rocky Point, NC; two special daughters, Tricell Henry of Atkinson and Chelsey Hill of Burgaw NC. Michelle graduated from Pender High School in 1987 and the Job Corps in 1988.
Michelle was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her. She had a smile that would brighten any room. She was very honest and true and would let you know exactly how she felt.
The funeral service will be 1 o'clock Thursday, July 31st at Willard Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 880 Church St. in Willard. Dove ceremony and interment will be in the Willard Community Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 Wednesday, July 30 at Nixon Lewis Funeral Home in Burgaw and from 12 until 1 on Thursday at the church one hour before the funeral. The family will receive friends at the home 11445 US Hwy 117 North Willard. Arrangements by Nixon Lewis Funeral Home in Burgaw.
