Nancy L. Coleman

Nancy L. Coleman, a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2023, in Wilmington, North Carolina at the age of 75. Born on October 5, 1947, in Harnett County, Nancy dedicated her life to her family and community, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Nancy was a member of the Coras Grove Church in Burgaw, under the guidance of Pastor Randy Little.

As a mother, Nancy's love for her daughter, Melissa Rivenbark, knew no bounds. She instilled in Melissa the importance of kindness, empathy, and perseverance, values that would guide her throughout her life. Nancy's bond with her son-in-law, Larry, was equally strong, as they shared a mutual respect and admiration for one another.

One of Nancy's greatest joys in life was being a grandmother to her three grandchildren: Jessica Hornbeck, Richard Chadwick, and Marie Reitz. She cherished every moment spent with them, from attending school events to sharing family meals. Her love extended to their spouses: Corey, Jodi, and Lee.

Nancy was immensely proud of her eight great-grandchildren: Serenity, Charity, Ryler, Ellie, Jennah, Layla, Brayden, and Bryson. She delighted in watching them grow and develop into caring, intelligent young individuals. Her love for her family was boundless, and her presence will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Throughout her life, Nancy was known for her warm heart and infectious smile. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued, creating lasting friendships wherever she went. Her dedication to her family and her faith was an inspiration to all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Nancy L. Coleman's passing leaves a void in the lives of her family and friends, but her legacy of love, faith, and compassion will continue to inspire those who knew her. As we mourn her loss, let us also celebrate the incredible life she lived and the indelible mark she left on our hearts.
