Nigel Rodney Smith

On Friday, March 3, 2023, the Divine Master with his ultimate wisdom called Nigel Smith from labor to rest. He was born September 8, 1988 to Rodney Smith and Brenda Scott Smith Hamilton in Duplin County, North Carolina. He departed this life at Sampson Regional Medical Center, Clinton, NC.

Nigel attended Hillside High School in Durham, NC where he played on the varsity football team. He was the quarterback. Nigel was very athletic. He also played basketball.

Nigel attended Peters Tabernacle in Wallace, NC. He loved his family. His favorite teams were the Los Angeles Lakers and the Atlanta Falcons. He had a love for fitness. He worked out regularly. He was an outside person. He loved anything outdoors, especially riding four wheelers.

He leaves to cherish his memories. His mother, Brenda Smith Hamilton of Wallace, NC; Father, Rodney (Tabitha) Smith of Durham, NC. One sister, Rod-Dequa Smith of Durham, NC; two brothers, Delmar (Michelle) Smith of Harrell's, NC and Neville Brandon Smith of Wallace, NC. Three great aunts; Mary Underwood of Wallace, NC, Katie B, Grayson, and Daisy Underwood of NY. Three aunts; Juanita (AJ) Grier, Ineta Scott, and Tressie (Calvin) Winbush of FL. Three uncles; Allan (Cynthia) Smith, Reggie (Brenda) Smith, and Randy (Mercedes) Scott of FL. His special friends/ family Kha- Waya Bowden, Zakyia Royal, Herman Gray, Brian Royes, Nate Grier, Alex Winbush, Maurice Winbush, Shawn Scott, Nicole Scott, Dominso Scott, and Da'Veion Scott. He also leaves a host of cousins, and friends.
