Mr. Ralph Pickett departed this life Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Novant Health, Wilmington, North Carolina. He was born July 15, 1942 to the late Haywood Pickett and the late Bessie Swinson Pickett in Pender County. Mr. Pickett was educated in the Pender County Public Schools and attended C.F. Pope High School, Burgaw, North Carolina. He also served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Pickett retired from the MTA New York City Transit after twenty-five years of dedicated service. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pickett was also preceded in death by his step-mother: Helen Pickett.

Mr. Pickett leaves to cherish his wonderful memories: Wife: Kim S. Pickett of the home One Son: Wayne Pickett (Marie) of Denmark, SC, Two Step-Sons: Everton McClymont and Marcus McClymont both of Brooklyn, New York.,Three Brothers: Haywood Pickett, Jr. (Alice) of Burgaw, NC, Thomas Pickett of Watha, NC, Joseph Pickett (Patsy) of Burgaw, NC. One Sister: Brenda McCormick (Timothy) of Woodbridge, VA.  One Step-Sister: Marie Prince (Allen) of Waldorf, MD. Two Step-Brothers: Randolph King and Earl King, both of Washington, DC.  Five Brothers-in-law: William Sallie, Allen Diggs, Delon Diggs, Vencent Diggs and Michael Wade, all of New York. One Sister-in-law: Jeanelle Smith. Six nieces, Two nephews, a host of great-nieces and nephews. Special Friends: Ruth Mac of Denmark, SC, Arnold Lacewell (Rubia) of Brooklyn, NY and Frankie Gore of Delaware Many other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
