Reginald Dale Peterson was born on July 16, 1968, to Pazava Devane and the late Roger Peterson. He peacefully transitioned from labor to reward on Wednesday, June 23, 2021.
“Reggie” as he was affectionately called, was educated in Bladen County Public Schools System and graduated from East Bladen High School.
At an early age, he joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Kelly, NC. He was under watch care at Snow Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Ivanhoe, NC. Reggie was raised on the family farm. At the age of 19, “Reggie” was in a car accident that left him blind. He loved visiting and chatting with family and friends. He never met a stranger.
“Reggie” was an active member of the local Lion Club. During the summer, he enjoyed attending Camp Dogwood (a camp for the blind) in Lake Norman, NC.
“Reggie” was always willing to share whatever he had. To know him was to love him. He will be greatly missed by all.
“Reggie” leaves to cherish his priceless memories: Mother: Pazava Devane Peterson of Burgaw, NC, Two Siblings: Veronica Devane of Ivanhoe, NC, Barry Peterson of Kelly, NC, Five Aunts: Dr. Margaret (William) Lawrence of Kelly, NC, Margaret Imes of Ivanhoe, NC, Doris Devane, of Ivanhoe, NC, Minnie Harvey of Ivanhoe, NC, Jennie Mac (KC) Highsmith of Ivanhoe, NC, Four Uncles: Lonnie (Gwen) Devane of Harrells, NC, Alphonso Devane of Kelly, NC, David Devane of Atkinson, NC, Gail (Ann) Devane of Raleigh, NC, Special Caregiver, Angelia Frazier of Kelly, NC, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and loving friends.
