Robert Hansley Jr.

Mr. Robert Hansley Jr. affectionately known as "June Bug" was born August 19,1947, to the late Robert Hansley Sr. and the late Myrtle Simpson Hansley in Pender County, North Carolina. On Thursday, January 19, 2023, Almighty God dispatched His angels to Novant Health New Hanover Medical Center, Wilmington, North Carolina to guide the soul of His servant to come home and rest. He was surrounded by family when he quietly slipped the bounds of Earth to claim his promised reward.

Robert attended school in Pender County and began working at an early age.

He was united in marriage to Lena Brinson Hansley.

He never met a stranger and shared the gospel. He was a member of Moore’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

His passion was driving trucks, shooting pool and playing BINGO. He was loving, kindhearted and caring. He would do whatever he could to help anyone. He loved grilling, gardening, sun drops, coffee, and playing with his cats. In addition to his parents, Robert was also preceded in death by three siblings.

Robert will be missed by all his family and friends that knew and loved him.
