Sylvanus "Shorty" Best

Sylvanus Vibert Best, affectionately known as Shorty age 72 of Willard, NC transitioned this life on June 8, 2023 at his home. He was born in Rock Hall St. Andrew, in the beautiful island of Barbados. He was the son of the late Stanley Best and Ordine (Nee) Mayers Best. He was the husband of Gwendolyn Walker of Willard, NC.

Funeral services will take place at 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Nixon Lewis Funeral Home Chapel in Burgaw, North Carolina, with a viewing from 12:00 until 12:50. Interment will immediately follow in the Willard Community Cemetery in Willard.
