On Sunday Nov. 16, 2014 Sylvester Beatty peacefully submitted to the masters call at his place of residence in Atkinson NC. Sylvester with his heart of gold gave his life to Christ earlier this year and stated, “It Is Well With My Soul.” Sylvester was educated in the Sampson County School system. He was the youngest of three boys and lived his life to the fullness. He moved to Wilmington NC.  Sylvester never met a stranger and he lived by the motto “if I have you have”.
Sylvester was a kind-hearted, compassionate man , with a humble spirit and beautiful smile. One of his proudest moments was the birth of his one and only son, Dayvion. They shared a special bond and even the same looks. He was a great father and a best friend to many.

Sylvester leaves behind a mother Marva Beatty (Joe), Ivanhoe NC. Two brothers Tommy Beatty, Clinton NC and Rev. Jimmie Beatty (Kristy) Magnolia NC. One son Dayvion Beatty Delway NC and his longtime best friend Lolita Hall Delway NC. One uncle Belvin Henry (Sylvia) Ivanhoe NC. Three Special cousin’s whom he took care of as sisters Faith Henry, Wallace NC Gerri Henry, Atkinson NC and Tanya Henry “Tink-Tink” Dallas Texas. Nieces: Lashawna, Kiarra, Nakosha, Charnise, and Brianna Beatty. Nephews: Jimmie Jr . Dominique, and Shamar Beatty. Three cousins at his bedside Azunay, Sadejah, and DJ.  Many relatives and friends near and far.
