Trease "Rea" Sharpless

TREASE "REA" SHARPLESS 57 of Maple Hill, NC surrounded by her loved ones, peacefully submitted to the will of God on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, NC.

Her funeral will be 2:30 pm Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Pilgrim Rest Freewill Baptist Church in Maple Hill, NC with burial in the Walter Holmes Family Cemetery.

Trease was born on May 31, 1960 in Pender County to Elijah Sharpless Sr. and Shirley Jean Bannerman Sharpless. She joined the church on July 10, 2010 and she enjoyed singing on the choir. She was a faithful member. During her last days at home, Trease loved coloring in her coloring book, going shopping and combing her dolls hair. She loved everybody and everyone was a friend to her. She was a kind hearted person.

Her survivors: Parents: Deacon Elijah Sharpless Sr. and Shirley Bannerman Sharpless,  Sisters: Sheila Lisane (Waddell) of Maple Hill, NC,  Marie Brunson (James) of Maple Hill, NC,  Kim Sharpless of Maple Hill, NC,  Brothers: Reuben Sharpless (Ronda) of Homestead, FL,  Elijah Sharpless Jr. of Salisbury, NC,  Special Grandmother: Rosa Ann Meredith.

A host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, uncles, aunts cousins and friends.
